PORTLAND — Angela M. Tetrault, 90, died Dec. 11, at Mercy Hospital with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Portland, Oct. 11, 1923, the daughter of Antonio and Antoinette Napolitano Scala. She attended local schools and graduated from Portland High School.

She worked for many years as a certified nurses aid at the Barron Center. She was a very private and independent woman that cared for others with pride and dignity. In her younger years, her greatest pastime was playing bingo at Cathedral.

The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the entire staff of Mercy Hospital for the care Tetrault received during her stay.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Philip J. O’Donnell on Oct. 31, 1968; second husband, Albert Tetrault in 2004; three sisters, Mary Caiola, Serena Scala and Nancy Scala; and two brothers, Louis and Clement Scala.

She is survived by a son, Gregory Sr. and wife, Ann O’Donnell, of Hampden; four grandchildren, Jessica and husband, Matthew LaFleur, of New Hampshire, Melissa Jean O’Donnell, of Hampden, Kristina and husband, Patrick Guerette, of Sidney and Gregory O’Donnell Jr., of Hampden; two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Lucas LaFleur, of New Hampshire; brother, Peter and wife, Dorothy Scala, of Portland; sister, Joanne Berry, of Portland; sister-in-law, Priscilla Scala, of Portland; three stepsons, James, Joseph and John Tetrault and families; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturdday at St. Peters Catholic Church, Portland. Burial followed in Calvary Cemetery, South Portland. Arrangements under the direction of Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, Portland.
