It only takes a few pieces of carrot for Dana Perkins of South Portland to become the alpacas’ best friend at Longwoods Alpaca Farm in Cumberland on Saturday, Sept. 26. The farm and more than 30 others across the state were open to visitors for the annual Alpaca Open Farm Weekend.
