FALMOUTH — Allen F. Weisenfluh, 79, died Dec. 20, after a long struggle with complications from Parkinson’s disease.

He was born to Frederick and Olive Weisenfluh in Ridgway, Pa., Aug. 17, 1934. He served as a combat paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division in the Korean War. He was a 1959 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University where he met his first wife, Barbara. His career was fixed income portfolio management, most of which was spent as senior vice president at the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company in Boston.

He was predeceased by his parents and by his wife.

He is survived by his second wife, Susan Neer Weisenfluh; daughter, Pamela Lessard and husband, Kevin; sons, Kurt and wife, Maura, and Bart and wife, Heather, of Falmouth; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 18, at The Second Congregational Church, Cohasset, Mass. Burial will be private.
