TOPSHAM — Aline M. Ouellette, 83, died Jan. 1 at the Mid Coast Senior Health Center Bodwell Unit.

Born in Caraquet, New Brunswick, on May 18, 1928, the daughter of Wilfrid and Elizabeth Albert Lanteigne. She was a 1946 graduate of Brunswick High School.

On July 1, 1950 she married Anthony J. Ouellette.

Ouellette worked for the town of Brunswick as an office manager for the sewer district, later working six years at the SAGE building in Topsham. She went on to work at Bath Iron Works in the stores department and moved to the operating crew until she retired.

Her biggest accomplishment in life was being a homemaker and she took great joy in the time she spent with her family and grandchildren. Ouellette also truly enjoyed volunteering at her church, St. Charles Borromeo Church-All Saints Parish, volunteering at many functions. In her spare time she loved to knit and work in her garden.

She is survived by her husband Anthony J. Ouellette of Topsham; three daughters Anne Cross and her husband Robert of Manchester, Conn., Anita Bleem and her husband John of Fort Collins, Colo. and Adele Suggs and her husband Merlin of Bath; two sons Arthur Ouellette and his wife Rose of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Andrew Ouellette of Topsham; sister Addie Yenco of Lisbon Falls; three brothers Rom Lanteigne and his wife Marcie of Conn., Roger Lanteigne and his wife Mary Ellen of Denison, Texas and Maurice Lanteigne and his wife Mary Ann of Rochester, N.H.; sister-in-law Sylvia Ouellette of Brunswick; and ten grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Jan. 6 at St. Charles Borromeo Church All Saints Parish, 132 McKeen St., Brunswick. Interment will be in the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Charles Building Fund, 132 McKeen St., Brunswick, ME 04044.
