TOPSHAM — Alice Woodman Rossiter, 96, died April 10 at the Cadigan Lodge.
She was born in Lowell, Mass., on May 4, 1915, the daughter of Cyrus and Frances Billings Woodman. She was a graduate of the Buckingham School in Cambridge, Mass., and Radcliffe College. She also attended the Bank Street College of Education in New York City.
Rossiter lived and worked in New York City for most of her life and for 20 years she worked for the national office of The American Heart Association.
In 1974 she married Peter Rossiter, a photographer. In 1976 they retired and moved to Harpswell. She was a member of the Brunswick Unitarian Universalist Church.
She is survived by her brother, Charles B. Woodman of Harpswell; nephew Edward C. Woodman of Gloucester, Mass.; and niece Jane M. Woodman of Ipswich, Mass.
