FALMOUTH — Aldona A. Barnes, 91, died Aug. 13 at Seaside Health Center in Portland.  

On Dec. 22, 1919, she was born in Boston, Mass., the daughter of George and Agnes Brockus Dragasius.  

She was educated in Boston schools and moved to Maine in 1941 after marrying her husband, Lawrence.

For many years she and her husband owned and operated Larry’s Sunoco Gas Station on U.S. Route 1 in Falmouth.  

After selling the gas station, her husband fulfilled his dream of becoming a boat captain and they spent many winters in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence; her brother, Alfred Drake; and her sister, Mylda Hallahan.

Surviving are her sister, Lillian Lawrence of Falmouth; and several nieces and nephews.
 
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17 at Pine Grove Cemetery in Falmouth.
