Against Trump but supports democracy

I am anti-bigotry. Naturally, I am also anti-Trump, and I have been since the beginning of his campaign. The prospect of the fraudulent “businessman” becoming the leader of the free world chills me to the bone. However, if Trump receives the necessary amount of delegates through the primary process to be nominated as the Republican candidate for president (which he almost surely will), I cross my fingers that the GOP would not have a brokered convention or find a loophole to nominate someone else. Aside from the small role superdelegates and party officials are supposed to have, a democratic election by nature is determined by the people. If popular opinion from Republican voters chooses a candidate, then that candidate should be the nominee – it’s as simple as that. Otherwise, are we any better than an oligarchy? I am anti-Trump, but I am far more fiercely pro-democracy.
