JEFFERSONVILLE, Vt. — Adeline E. Illemann, 91, formerly of Brunswick, died Feb. 4.
She was born in Norway on Jan. 16, 1918, daughter of Alice and George Emerson.
In 1935, she graduated from Norway High School.
She began her career as a telephone operator with the New England Telephone Company in Bath. In 1979, she retired as a supervisor after 30 years of service.
As a lifetime member of the Telecom Pioneers, she enjoyed attending the monthly meetings.
Her hobbies included gardening, bird watching, and bingo.
She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Ernest F. Illemann, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia A. Beasley of Apex, N.C., Barbara G. Casey and her husband, Thomas S. Casey of Sebastian, Fla. and Harpswell, and Nancy (Illemann) Rock and her husband, Richard W. Rock, II of Jeffersonville, Vt.; grandchildren, Kathryn J. May and her husband Daryl, and Christopher B. Lee; three great-grandchildren, Megan, Courtney and Kyle May.
Memorial services were held last week.
