FREEPORT — Adam Douglas McIntosh, 32, passed away Sept. 30.

McIntosh was born in Portland Feb. 14, 1983, the son of M. Douglas McIntosh and Susan McIntosh Peterson. He attended school in Durham and graduated from Freeport High School.

He loved fishing, hunting and living off the land. Oftentimes he would be seen on the New Meadows River in his boat, dragging for clams, fishing off the river banks, or fishing on the boat with his dad and brothers and his old friend, Chopper. The joy of his life truly was his daughter Allison. He always had a kind word for others and a smile on his face. He was a beautiful person inside and out and will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his father, Doug McIntosh, of Freeport; his mother, Susan Peterson her husband, Cliff Peterson, of Durham; two brothers, Duncan and Richard McIntosh, of Freeport; aunts and uncles, Dawn and Paul Skidmore of Scarborough and Pat and Paul Jensen of Oak Creek, Wisconsin; two uncles, Ron Guiler and Richard Guiler of Miami; several cousins and nieces.

A celebration of life was held earlier this week.
