Mercedes McGovern of Falmouth marks out the measurements for roof trusses for the garden shed under construction behind her on August 11 in Portland. McGovern, who is working towards a GED through the Learning Works program, and other students helped build the shed for the Brentwood Farms Community Garden using green building technologies that included recycled lumber.
