Bath city officials on Wednesday dedicated a bridge in Oak Grove Cemetery in the name of John “Jack” C. Hart Jr. A city councilor who served with the Bath Fire Department for 25 years, Hart was a major advocate of having a bridge built over the railroad tracks dividing the cemetery. City Council Chairman Bernard Wyman said Hart worked to secure matching funds from the state to supplement city money to construct the bridge. The Bath Fire Department Color Guard is pictured standing in front of the bridge. (Lear photo)
