PORTLAND — Police said they are investigating the thefts of 60 memorial vases from graves at Brooklawn Memorial Cemetery in the past week.
The bronze vases, worth a total of about $12,000, were taken from the cemetery between Nov. 7 and Nov. 12, according to police. The cemetery is at 2002 Congress St., in the Stroudwater neighborhood.
Each vase weighs approximately 10 pounds and is uniquely shaped. Anyone with information regarding the thefts is urged to call the Police Department at 874-8533.
