PORTLAND — Cumberland County Commissioners appointed three members to the Civic Center board of trustees.

Former Portland City Manager Joseph Gray and Bridgton Town Manager Mitchell Berkowitz were reappointed to at-large and District 6 positions, respectively. Both were appointed to the board in 2011 to fill vacancies created when Shipyard Brewing owner Fred Forsley and former Portland City Manager and bank executive John Menario resigned. Gray and Berkowitz had to reapply this year when their terms were up.

Brian Dudley, vice president of institutional advancement at Cheverus High School in Portland, was appointed to fill the District 1 position.

The three will join the Civic Center’s five other trustees in planning the redesign of the 34-year-old building. In November, voters approved a $33 million bond for the reconstruction, which is expected to begin next summer.
