SOUTH PORTLAND — Police are searching for three men suspected in an armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver the night of Feb. 16.

Sgt. Steve Webster said the driver met a customer in a parking lot outside the Olde English Village apartments at 499 Westbrook St. around 10 p.m. While they talked, the driver was approached by two other men.

Webster said one suspect was armed with a handgun and the other carried a knife. They demanded money and fled on foot toward Westbrook Street with an undisclosed amount of cash and a pizza. The customer also fled on foot in the same direction and is considered a suspect in the robbery.

The suspects are described as black men in their early 20s, between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall, with thin builds. The armed men were wearing black hooded sweatshirts. One covered his face with a red bandanna, the other with a red and gray bandanna, Webster said. The suspect who initially met the victim in the parking lot has “very crooked” front teeth and weighs about 120 pounds.

Anyone with information about the robbery or possible suspects is asked to call Detective Steven Connors at 799-5511, ext. 7217.
