PORTLAND — Police are seeking three men in connection with an early morning robbery Monday near 116 Mountfort St.
Police Lt. James Sweatt said a man reported he was approached just after midnight by the suspects and robbed at gunpoint. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and the victim’s backpack.
Sweatt said all three suspects were described as black men, wearing black clothing and black bandannas covering their faces. One suspect was described as about 6 feet, 3 inches tall, with shoulder-length dreadlocks and wearing a black hat.
A second suspect was described as about 5 feet, 9 inches tall. There was no description of the third suspect’s height.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Portland Police Department Criminal Investigation Division at 874-8533. Tips can also be texted to police at 274637, using the key word “GOTCHA.”
