PORTLAND — Three new administrators have joined the Portland Public Schools.

Cynthia Remick was appointed principal of Hall Elementary School, where she was assistant principal last year. She previously worked for the Westbrook School District as the No Child Left Behind director, curriculum facilitator and a math consultant.

In addition to her administrative roles, Remick has 13 years of classroom teaching experience. She received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education, master’s in literacy and a certificate in advanced study from the University of Southern Maine.

Glenda Klein comes to Portland Public Schools with human resources experience in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. He worked in human resources for Deutz Corp. in Georgia, the city of St. Joseph, Mo., St. Francis Academy and Unified School District 402 in Augusta, Kan.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in human resources management and a master’s degree in human resources development from Friends University.

Before being hired as the Special Education Coordinator for Portland Public Schools, Sharon Pray served as the director of special services in the Rochester, N.H., School Department. She has also served as the state’s program coordinator for detained youth, special education director in School Administrative District 55 in Hiram, and as a behavioral specialist for the Wells School Department.

Her experience includes positions at Sweetser, the York County Special Education Compact, the Regional Alternative Program and at the former Pineland Hospital and Training Center.

Pray earned a master’s degree in education from the University of Southern Maine.
