BRUNSWICK — Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested three men allegedly connected to a credit card scam.
Yaisder Herrera Gargallo, 23, of Miami, Florida; Juan Carlos Febles, 51, of Opa Lockna, Florida, and Juan Castillo Febles, 29, of Richmond Hill, New York, are accused of credit card cloning in southern and mid-coast Maine. They were arrested June 18 on Route 123.
Cloning is stealing a victim’s banking information and putting it on a different card. The CCSO tracked down the suspects using video surveillance from local businesses.
The men were pulled over in a rented Jeep at 12:45 a.m. by Deputy Todd McGee, with assistance from the Brunswick Police Department.
Gargallo was charged with aggravated forgery, misuse of identification, and theft by deception; Febles and Febles were both charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated forgery.
