SCARBOROUGH — Two people from Massachusetts and one Scarborough resident were arrested Tuesday on drug charges following an investigation initiated by the Special Enforcement Unit of the Scarborough Police Department.

Shawn Myers, 25, of Wareham, Massachusetts; Latasha Scott, 23, of Roxbury, Massachusetts, and Andrew MacDonald, 33, of Scarborough, were each charged with two Class A felonies for aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, namely heroin and crack cocaine, according to a department press release.

Approximately 52 grams of heroin and 46 grams of crack cocaine were seized, estimated to be valued at $15,000. An additional $8,000 was seized from Myers, police said.

All three remained in custody Thursday at the Cumberland County Jail. Bail was set at $50,000 for Myers and MacDonald; bail information for Scott was not immediately available.

The arrests were made with assistance from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
