PORTLAND — Three city residents face robbery and other charges after an early morning armed holdup at the TravelLodge at 1200 Brighton Ave.

Police Lt. James Sweatt said Benjamin Jackson and Stephen Kubari, both 26, and Kristeina Marbuk, 21, were arrested in connection with the incident where a man and woman staying at the motel were allegedly robbed of cash, medication, a wallet and cell phone.

Sweatt said police were called to the motel around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. The victims, a 43-year-old man and a 27-year old-woman, and a witness reported the robbery and assaults, and said one suspect displayed a handgun. The victims were treated for injuries at the scene.

After seeing the alleged suspects’ vehicle on Capisic Street, officers made the arrests on Fore River Parkway, Sweatt said. All three were charged with Class A robbery, and Jackson was also charged with assault, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, trafficking in prison contraband, and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.

Sweatt said no firearms were recovered.
