PORTLAND — Police are looking for two men in connection with a late-Wednesday night armed robbery outside the Ahram Halal Grocery at 630 Forest Ave.
Police said the market owner was closing the store at 11 p.m. and walking out to a dumpster behind the store when he was approached by two men who pointed handguns at him and demanded his wallet.
The suspects then fled on foot toward Deering Avenue. The victim was not injured, and police did not disclose what was taken from him.
One suspect was described as being about 5 feet 9 inches tall with an average build, wearing a dark mask over his face and a brown jacket with its hood up.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call police at 874-8533, or to text anonymously at 274637, using the key word “GOTCHA.”
