TOPSHAM — Wrestling, a 5k run, music and a demolition derby, along with an assortment of farm animals, are all part of this year’s Topsham Fair.

The 159th annual event runs from Tuesday, Aug. 6, to Sunday, Aug. 11, at the Topsham Fairgrounds, off the Route 196 Coastal Connector.

Admission is $10 Tuesday through Friday and Sunday, and $12 on Saturday, although children under 3 feet tall will be allowed in for free that day. Admission includes rides.

Tuesday admission costs $3 for senior citizens, and children of military families get in for half price on Sunday.

Harness racing precedes the regular fair events at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 4, and Monday, Aug. 5. Harness racing will also be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, and 1 p.m. Wednesday and Saturday.

NWA on Fire professional wrestling is at 8 p.m. Tuesday, and a demolition derby will test the mettle of metal at 7 p.m. Wednesday and 7 p.m. Saturday.

A freestyle motocross jumping show with the RaveX Outer Limits Tour will be held twice during the week: at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Thursday, and 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

What’s being billed as a “redneck truck pull” will run at 6:30 p.m. Friday, and the Sunrise Stampede 5k event will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, followed by a fun run for children.

Music, magic, steer and oxen pulls, bingo, blueberry and whoopie pie judging, sheep herding, animal reiki and a baked bean contest are among the fair’s many other offerings.
